Villarreal’s youngest members can enjoy one of the club’s most successful activities while simultaneously developing motivational, cognitive and social interaction skills
Villarreal CF has launched a special activity for youngsters aged from three to nine, by way of a pre-entry course into the football school’s youngest level. The ‘Psychomotricity course’ –now in its fifth season- is one of the most successful activities organised by the club with a growing number of youngsters learning, playing and enjoying themselves at the Training Grounds facilities.
With the use of Psychomotricity our aim is to facilitate the development of the complete person: motivation, cognitive skills and social-interaction, with play being the main activity and with the physical well-being of all the youngsters, the final objective. Psychomotricity combines motor, cognitive and emotional actions… activities that are founded in the natural and spontaneous movements of children. Within the auspices of play all possible forms of movement are explored.
This activity for the very young, by way of play, physical activity and self-expression involves participation on intellectual, physical, social and emotional levels working towards the practising of any sport, including football, that requires much motivational drive. The course can be attended once or twice a week, depending on the wishes of the youngsters’ families and parents pick this exciting activity for their offspring, confident that it will assist in the healthy development of their children.
